Sigler Golden Goal Lifts Cal Poly to 1-0 Victory
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – For the second-successive season the Cal Poly men’s soccer team opened Big West Conference play with a 1-0 overtime triumph as junior center back Patrick Sigler’s 92nd-minute strike lifted the Mustangs to victory against UC Riverside on Saturday evening at UCR Soccer Stadium. LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Cal Poly women’s soccer team battled Long Beach State to a 1-1 draw in a Big West Conference game on Friday afternoon. The Mustangs thought they had made a break through with a 69th minute goal, but LBSU was able to tie the game in the closing minutes.
